- Find the period from the coefficient of x: 2π/c in radians or 360°/c in degrees
- Cancel the π's when the coefficient contains π, e.g. cos(10πt) has period 1/5
- Divide by fraction coefficients via the reciprocal: 2π ÷ (2π/365) = 365
- Sketch graphs like y = 4 sin 3t by marking the quarter-period landmarks
